Introducing-Abundio’s Studio Fort Worth and Abundio Munoz

Abundio Munoz is a native Texan who grew up in Bryan-College Station in 1969 and started training karate when he was 10 years old and was a black belt by the sixth grade.  Always active as a kid the young Munoz found it exciting to get to exercise and learn discipline from martial arts. Munoz has been training his whole life traveling to tournaments and competitions all over Texas, then with his instructor and since 1992 with his students.  Early in his adult life Munoz started focusing on kickboxing a form of martial arts that combines the use of hands and feet, and he also began incorporating bodybuilding and amateur boxing into his training technology.

In 1991 Munoz moved to Arlington, TX who thought it would be a good place to start a Tae Kwon Do-Karate business and three years later he moved his business to the Health and Fitness Connection in Fort Worth, TX, then moving to Inursha fitness, and then finally to his new location which is a world class training facility offering Tae Kwon Do-Karate for all ages, personal training, Jiu Jitsu, boxing, kickboxing aerobics, and yoga  in group classes and private lessons. Munoz says, “while mixed martial arts and boxing are popular among those seeking to add a little variety to their fitness regimen, kickboxing is a little more exotic. Billy Blanks definitely helped to put it in the mainstream, with Tae Bo training. There is so much to the workout and that is what makes it so fun.

“I love this city, its not too big and not to small and it’s very laid back”, says Munoz. From kids to senior citizens Munoz applies his focused and disciplined method of training and does not want people to think they have to start out in good shape to do this, plus its more than exercise; “… you’ll learn discipline, a little self-defense, and get to make a little contact. At Abundio’s Studio he as a world class training facility complete with weights and cardio equipment, as well as matted training area with numerous bags inside and a outdoor training area with a competition boxing ring, climbing ropes, monkey bars, punching bags and another matted area. Munoz say’s, “ hopefully I can offer my clients more to have options to accomplish or become whatever they would like to be.”
